"I Ain't Got Nobody" - Sly and The Family Stone
Loadstone 3951 - 1967

Previous

Sly Stone was something of a Renaissance man. He started as a teenager singing in doo-wop groups like the Biscaynes. He was a producer for Tom Donahue's Autumn label, producing such hits as "C'mon And Swim" for Bobby Freeman and "Laugh Laugh" by The Beau Brummels. He was also a top-rated disk jockey on KDIA and KSOL. While at KSOL he formed The Family Stone. This was their first record from 1967.
